My Story = My Strength. When I first saw this shirt I knew I had to have it. After what I’ve been through the past 2.5 years, this saying is my life now. This saying reminds me to have strength, to remind myself that I have weathered a storm and came through the other side still standing.
That was until I became more aware of the world around me, and I began to understand the opportunities that lie ahead. Today I am now able to see the power within, I have learned that when you put you heart, soul and mind to something, we are able to change the world. Don’t get me wrong, I can still be that silly girl but I now have the power and courage to stand up for what I believe in.
This luxe tee is for the survivors, warriors and advocates, waging the battle against breast cancer with tenacity, grace and dignity. $1.00 of every tee will be donated to Unite for HER, bridging the gap between the medical and wellness community by funding complementary therapies that support the needs of those with breast cancer during treatment and beyond.
The Hero of my story shares this happiness with all. My mentors and leaders lead the way and provide the mold on how I can mentor and lead others. I make sure I give back. I want girls to look up to me like I do my mentors. I want to be a mentor for other young girls.
When I entered middle school though, I started to take note of how little other girls spoke in class, and how on the rare occasion that one did speak up, she would begin saying, “I don’t know if I’m right but…” before stating her answer. I noticed our male peers never seemed to say the same.
